But what does it mean to be a FAGUJA?
FAGUJA, also known as ‘The Fighters’, is one of the seven tribes in our mythological fantasy series titled ‘The Ones Before’. Fearless warriors, the Faguja strength is unmatched. Their war cry, ‘we welcome death’, makes them terrifying opponents in battle. Worshipers of the god of thunder, Sanba, Fagujas are believed to draw their strength from a monolith that bears the face of an ancestral deity. The Faguja terrain reflects the nature of its people, filled with hills and rocks- solid and strong, but also perfect for strategizing out of sight from the enemy in times of war. The streets of Faguja are rarely ever silent, as apart from being great fighters, its people love deeply and out loud, not afraid to make their emotions known
Beyond the quiz, ‘The Ones Before’ is an epic series that transports you into the realm of Nanyilẹ, a fantasy world inspired by pre-colonial Nigerian political drama, cultural superstition and rich mythology.
